Sierra Dietetics accepts all insurance and Medicare.  However, not all insurance companies currently pay for nutrition services.  Please contact your carrier in regards to your particular coverage.

What does Medicare cover?
As long as you have Part B coverage, Medicare does pay for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for those who have diabetes or renal disease.  Please contact your primary care physician for a proper referral.

For more information on payment options or services,
please contact Sierra Dietetics at 775.884.0544 or email us.

What can I expect during my first visit?
Your initial visit generally lasts one hour.  You will be asked to bring a three day food diary of everything you ate and drank during that time.  If you have diabetes, you are also asked to bring in your blood sugar log book.

How many visits do should I plan on?
How many visits to plan for depends on your personal goals, your comfort with your dietary plan and your insurance's level of authorization.
